Why We Need You To #BeTheMovement

Southern Nevada is facing one of the worst youth homelessness crises in the nation: in 2019, Las Vegas/Clark County had the fourth largest number of unaccompanied homeless children and youth residing here of any major metro area in the United States.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re creating a community-wide effort to attack youth homelessness at all angles – a movement to end youth homelessness in Southern Nevada. And we need YOU to create real, lasting change.

The Southern Nevada Youth Homelessness Summit

On November 2, 2017, we kicked off the Movement to End Youth Homelessness at the first annual Southern Nevada Youth Homelessness Summit, presented by the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth and Sands Cares. At Summit 2018, the Movement unveiled the Southern Nevada Plan to End Youth Homelessness, a comprehensive “attack” plan for addressing youth homelessness in Las Vegas/Clark County. Since then, the Movement has been holding annual cross-sector Summits to bring the Plan to life.
