Thank you for your interest in becoming an NPHY  Volunteer!

NPHY is working to #endyouthhomelessness here in Southern Nevada, but we cannot do this work without you. Along with
donating and advocating, volunteering your time makes a huge impact on our youth by showing them that the community cares about their success. Whether you’re looking to volunteer as an individual or group, we have plenty of opportunities. Keep scrolling below for more information:

Information you need to know before volunteering

  • All volunteers over 18 must possess a valid photo ID or Driver’s License.
  • Individual volunteers must complete NPHY’s Volunteer Orientation, Volunteer Application, and a background check ( all available in NPHY’s volunteer portal at no cost to you).
  • Group volunteers are not required to attend volunteer orientation, but it is always encouraged. 
  • NPHY requires all volunteers under 18 years old to be accompanied by a parent or guardian who has completed NPHY’s Volunteer Process and is cleared for volunteer activity. Volunteers under 16 years old participating in any Drop-In Center or Outreach activities will be approved on a case-by-case basis.

NPHY Do-Gooders

NPHY has many departments with unique needs all working together to best serve the needs of youth experiencing homelessness in Southern Nevada. Do-Gooder’s help NPHY with various tasks around the Drop-In Center such as restocking and organizing our clothing closet, cleaning, sorting donations, and so much more!

By supporting any of our departments, you are helping NPHY work towards the end of youth homelessness in Southern Nevada!

Schedule
Every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Drop-In Center.

Individuals are also welcomed to volunteer for Feel Good Friday and Cookin’ for a Cause!

Engage Me

NPHY’s Engage Me program is a way for us to expose our youth to new experiences. Can you teach a class on fitness, art, music, cooking, podcasting, music production, DJing, etc?

Group Volunteer Opportunities

Cookin’ for a Cause

At NPHY, we understand the unifying power of food! Join us at the NPHY Drop-In Center and embark on a volunteer journey where you can prepare mouthwatering meals alongside your friends, family, or coworkers, while spending quality time with NPHY's youth.

We are currently welcoming groups of 1-4 individuals who are eager to make a difference. All you need to bring are the ingredients for your chosen meal! NPHY will provide all the essential cookware and bakeware.

Feel Good Friday

Feel Good Friday is a youth outreach event hosted by NPHY every single Friday afternoon, powered by the community, with volunteers driving set-up, take down, distribution and fun art and engagement activities.

During each event volunteers hand out food and hygiene supplies, clothing, seasonal items, and information about NPHY, Safe Place, and other programs for youth to young people who are in unstable housing situations or experiencing homelessness. Our goal is to create a youthful environment while building rapport, bringing genuine engagement, and providing critical resources and information to youth under the age of 18.

Feel Good Friday is perfect for large groups of 10+ volunteers or individual volunteers!

Drop-In Center Beautification Projects

As the hub of all of our programming and a Safe Place for our youth, we pride ourselves on keeping our Drop-In Center in tip-top shape. If you are handy with a mop or broom, skilled at landscaping or painting, or have a talent with tools, we need your help!

Our monthly beautification days at the Drop-In Center allow NPHY to keep our campus looking good and instill confidence in the youth we serve, all powered by volunteers.

Sunshine Kit Build

Young individuals interested in getting involved can organize a Sunshine Kit Build project. This initiative involves gathering essential supplies from the local community or arranging fundraising events to acquire the necessary items. Bring your friends together to collaborate on assembling Sunshine Kits, which are utilized daily at NPHY. These kits serve various purposes, from distribution at our Drop-In Center to offering nourishment to youth during our Feel Good Friday community outreach efforts.
